Roseanne
Barr was born in 1981 and grew up in the picturesque setting
of Loch Lomondside. She graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone
College of Art in Dundee in 2003. Since graduating she has
been invited to exhibit in galleries across Scotland . Travelling the remote northern
coastlines of Scotland is a great source of inspiration, as
has been her love of world travel; she has ventured across
the vast, open plains and rock formations of the American
mid-west, from the Great Lakes of the North to California. Roseanne’s paintings
are generically titled ‘Lands of Escape’. They
capture a sense of escape which is serene, moving and can
evoke a personal memory of a landscape the viewer has experienced.
Each painting presents a residual image of a place, creating
a shadow, a blur of memories.
