Born in Paisley
in 1975, Emma studied at Glasgow School of Art,
graduating in 1988. During her time at
college, Emma exhibited her work and concluded her
studies with a sell-out degree show. The following
year, she was awarded the Alexander Graham Munro
Travel Award at the RSA – the youngest winner
to date. I like to
combine my love of paint with that of textiles,
although my favorite subject matter is the landscape”….
“I have a great love for the Scottish landscape,
the daily changes in light and colour of our landscape
influence the way I work every day, along with my
own moods and emotions about particular areas that
I am painting.” Emma has shown
successfully in Scotland and further afield since
graduating Her work is held in many private and
corporate collections, and she also supports many
charity exhibitions including the McMillan Cancer
Fund and the Maggie Centre.
