Marion was born in Glasgow, and has lived in Scotland all her life. She works mainly in oils, enjoying the immediacy and intensity of ‘sculpting’ the paint, using rags, knives, fingers – whatever engenders the dynamic forces of nature which she expresses in her art. Unrestricted by subject matter, be it still-life, figurative, landscape (painting al fresco) or portraiture; the important thing for Marion is to ‘capture the moment’ in the work.
