Alistair
is a self taught watercolour artist, living in Edinburgh.
Nine years ago, he took up watercolour painting, initially
as a hobby. However, due to an immediate demand for
his charming paintings, it has become a full time career
– including an appearance on the popular Channel
4 show ‘Watercolour Challenge’ where he
painted from St Andrews.
Alistair loves to sketch
and paint in and around Edinburgh, as well the East
Neuk of Fife, but he also takes his paintbrushes with
him when he travels abroad, and has sketched and painted
scenes from the Alps, Paris, Prague, Budapest and Innsbruck,
as well as California, Arizona and Nevada.
This year he is
travelling to Russia and intends to produce a series
of work from his travels. His work is now widely recognised,
and features in many exhibitions both in Britain and
abroad.
