| Born in Wimbledon in
1952. After graduating from Art College in 1973 he travelled
extensively throughout southern Africa where his passion for
painting began. Returning to England in 1980 he continued to
paint, mainly in watercolour, and sold through local galleries
and to private collectors. 'I started using pastels in conjunction
with my usual watercolours because I found I wanted more depth
and intensity of colour, and some of the subjects became more
abstracted as I worked to convey atmosphere. Over the last three
years I have also returned to painting on canvas and am enjoying
the effects I can achieve.' |
