Helen was born in Middlesex in 1960, and studied
English and History at the University of York. Setting off
to travel around India, and working with a village development
programme in Maharastra, she returned to York to complete
a Post Graduate in Education.
Helen then went on to become a full time teacher;
specialising in English, Drama and Art, both in Britain and
in Asia. During this time, Helen started exhibiting her own
works, and continued to work as an artist during the 2 years
spent as a Field Officer for the VSO in Bhutan in the early
90’s.
Now working full time
as an artist, Helen’s work is beautifully developed,
with rich colourings and considered texture. Highly collectable,
she exhibits at selected shows around the country.
