Originally from Lancashire, Laura trained as a ceramicist at Wolverhampton University, going on to apprentice at the Leach Pottery in St. Ives before setting up her own pottery in Chatham. In 2018 Laura moved back to Cornwall where she now lives and works.
Having initially been inspired by Victorian floral designs, in recent years Laura has merged these classical influences with geometric patterns and tessellated surfaces. Using each form as a blank canvas, Laura uses a variety of techniques to decorate her work including carving, inlay and glazing. The end results are chic, contemporary pieces underpinned by traditional methods and expertise.
