Sarah Cameron lives and works in and between her cottage on the outskirts of Edinburgh and studio in New Lanark.
These works evolved during a fantastic trip up to Aberdeenshire and a tour of the north, revisiting Grassic Gibbon country and finding a few new routes off the beaten track. The paintings are so very inspired by all that earthiness and matter; getting back to the core of what it is to be in the Scottish landscape. A seascape series may unfold from that as well, as I also had a wonderful walk along the rough coastline at Catterline while I was there. Joan Eardley country!
