CONTEMPORARY JAPANESE PRINTS
We’re delighted to be collaborating with the Tolman Collection (Tolman Gallery), Tokyo, Japan’s leading specialist and widely regarded as the country’s largest dealer of contemporary Fine Art Japanese prints. Founded in 1972 by Norman and Mary Tolman, the gallery has built an international reputation for championing living print traditions. Our partnership came about in a wonderfully organic way: first introduced to us by a client and collector, Adam then visited the Tolman Gallery in Japan last year, where he met the team and saw the breadth of their collection firsthand. We subsequently reconnected in London while attending an art fair together, and from there the collaboration naturally took shape around a shared enthusiasm for bringing exceptional contemporary Japanese printmaking to new audiences. We’re thrilled to be exhibiting works by three outstanding Tolman artists—Seiko Kawachi, Ryo Nishimura, and Sayaka Kawamura—whose practices together show the range, technical brilliance, and fresh creative spirit of Japanese printmaking today.
