Hanna Kaciniel

Born in Poland, Hanna Kaciniel was taught to paint from a young age by her Grandfather. She went on to train at the College Kolazin in the nineties. She then moved to Scotland, where she currently lives and works.

Hanna’s interests drifted away from more conventional fine art subjects. She chose to focus instead on still life depictions of various confectionary. The hyper detailed stylisations of which provide a playful link between her grounding in Fine Art and her interest in the more experimental genre of Pop Art.

Having worked with traditional media for as long as she can remember, Hanna continues to paint with oils, using a classical approach to create meticulous renderings of childhood favourites that she hopes will bridge the gap between admirers of traditional and contemporary painting.
